Come celebrate the opening of the Berkeley Center for Theoretical Physics!

The BCTP was founded about six years ago, but with no home. The renovation of Old LeConte Hall created a large interaction area that is surrounded by blackboards, beneath a restored skylight. We nearly doubled our office space to accommodate all of our students and postdocs. We can finally announce the new place as our "home". We very much hope that people in our community will visit us and help us make good use of this space.

We have assembled a great group of speakers for this occasion: Nima Arkani-Hamed, David Gross (public lecture), Beate Heinemann, Joe Polchinski, Lisa Randall, John Schwarz, Andy Strominger, Cumrun Vafa, Mark Wise, Tsutomu Yanagida, Matias Zaldarriaga.
